RADSYNRGY: A SYNRR’s JAM
In an attempt to express what it means to be free — free of boundaries, free of fear, not to be bound by rules or some confinements, birth what I’d like to call the journey, RADSYNRGY aka THE RADSYNRGY HUB.
The lifestyle of an extreme sports athlete represents the freedom to express oneself, which aligns with my philosophy of not wanting to be constrained by anything or anyone. I desire to move without limitations, establish a new standard, and most importantly, wholeheartedly express myself through my actions and passions.
Not to be taken out of context, this freedom I’ve sought to highlight applies to the world of sports. Just as art pushes and propagates defiance, I believe the area of sports, in which this showcases a form of art, can have that as well.
One thing I believe is that for every new leap to take a course, a deviant has to go against all odds and make a difference, take a chance to innovate and bring about change, solving a need that will give room for growth in any continent, in this case, the African continent.
So, what does RADSYNRGY mean?
By definition, it means an unorthodox means of interaction, in simpler terms, “home to the deviant ones, the unbounded lot, the free spirits”. It is a derivative of the two words radical and synergy.
I yearn to see more individuals participating in this sport across all their disciplines in Nigeria and the rest of Africa.
While we pursue this desire, seeing how the system across the board in the nation seems to have one crack or the other, I am one of the few taking on some responsibility to see that representation is done the right way. It is still quite a gradual process, with hopes that we’ll get to the apex of it all in due time.
SYNRR’s JAM: The idea is to exhibit all the areas in which these activities can be expressed, using two key factors; Music, whilst showcasing Extreme Sports to aid in defining and reforming the idea of the sport and the culture surrounding it.
Edification is the foundation this whole pursuit was founded on however rebellious it might look. With the understanding that what we consume plays a big role in shaping who we are, followed by responsibility for others, it is important to manage and promote our values with utmost care.
Before every event, we will release a playlist that showcases what the audience can expect during each schedule. This will give interested parties a clear idea of what to expect from the event.
